I’m sick of Ellen promoting “be kind,” and having 0 accountability when it comes to these criticisms. She earns $50 mil a year and is worth $330 mil+, yet when the crew was finally told an update they were told they would be receiving a 60% pay cut, whereas shows like Jimmy Kimmel, Full Frontal with Sam Bee, and Last Week with John Oliver are covering all costs for their employees, including Jimmy Kimmel paying straight out of his own pocket. She has had her staff in a near communication blackout with Coronavirus stuff. My Favorite Murder cohost Karen Kilgariff was her head writer for many years and a good friend, and Ellen famously dumped her when she refused to cross the picket line in the Hollywood Writer strike back in the 2000’s.
I get your point on the microscope bit, but Ellen has been proven over and over to be selfish, rude and nasty, and not just little moments that I’m sure you’re talking about.
